FAQs

Does it work as a real Poker hand crib card?

Yes. It took a lot of work to make sure the mathematics works as well as keeping the Poker hands absolutely accurate! You can take this to Poker night and use it for real - then perform this astonishing mental feat.

Is the mathematics difficult?

No. If you can count to 16, you can perform the trick. You'll neve be adding more than three single-digit numbers together.

Is there a lot of memorisation?

Some, but not lots! The binary values are designed to eliminate as much memorisation as possible. Straight = 8, Four of a kind = 4, and so on.

Does it work every time?

Yes, in the sense that 100% of the time, you'll know the value of the card just by knowing which hands their card appears in. 60% of the time, you'll know the value and the suit. In the other 40%, most of the time you'll be one card away (you'll know the value and colour). Very rarely, you'll have to use another method to narrow down which suit they are thinking of. Every method is taught in the instructions.
